Longtime gun guy (Army veteran - Afghanistan & Iraq - with plenty of armorer experience, competitive shooter, former FFL holder, and sometime gun writer) just pivoted to the black powder side of life. Mom bought me a fixer-upper Jukar .45 Kentucky percussion rifle for Christmas, and I seem to have fallen down the proverbial rabbit hole. Looks like it'll be a hoot.
