I just inherited this gun and I know nothing about it. Not very familiar with guns in general, so I was hoping to get some info on what it might be. I can provide more detailed photos, if needed. Thanks in advance!

I think most are going to ask for better pics first off. From what I see, some kind of British musket, maybe commercial?Has a much later replacement ramrod. Get close ups of the lock, all the brass furniture, then others will be able to give you better info.

Much agree. I can just barely make out what's left of the prancing lion on the lock plate.
