MSW, not disputing your point of view but just stating that in my own case, I know that I ate a lot of lead shot in quail and squirrels when I was growing up, as a kid with a single shot rifle
we often carried our .22 ammo in our mouths for a quick second shot, I've been casting for 60 yrs.
Have cast at least a million lead alloy bullets,
been muzzleloading for about 50 yrs. have always spit patched, handling lead balls and then putting the patches in my mouth, about 2 months ago I had my blood tested for lead. It was NORMAL. I had my fingers crossed wondering what it would be but my thinking now is that the danger has been overstated.
