Hi, just finished a Lyman Great Plains .54 pistol kit. Shot it about 30 times yesterday. It seems to be dead on at about 10 yards, and hits about 3 or 4 inches high at 25yards. (with 35grains of 3f). Should I try to get it to point of aim at 25yds? 50yds? I guess I could try lighter loads, or replace the front sight. ( I would like a thinner front sight anyway) I havent shot in any real pistol matches, just wondering what is normal.
(also I'd like to reduce the trigger pull, it's pretty bad compared to pistols I've shot with a set trigger)
Any opinions/advice appreciated, thanks, Jeff
