ME TOO! didja ever have "THE" flint, the one the seemed like it went ferever..an finally you HAD to replace it? and usually the next one goes about 20 shots :cursing: i'm hopin to "redo" the ferever flint hey ya never know! :grin:

I was lookin for the grinder thingy..(technical term!) as fer flints..I got the chambers germanic flintlock, and it says it uses 7/8 x 3/4... and they are tough to find.. rich pierce is makin me some..track,and shannon had none of that size.may have to go to a 3/4 square..think I found the grinder thingy ..jus a tad smaller but somethin to play with.. thanks!

I should learn to read better! :redface: The best wheel I've found for what you want to do is Harbor Freight #32397-4VGA. They usually stock them in their stores or you can order on line. It's a set with a 1 3/4" wheel in it. The larger diameter cuts much better. Make sure your down wind and keep the flint cool. It don't take muck to cook a flint and ruin it. Go slow and periodically dip in water. :v

I was just a thinkin . Since yer Halftail's buddy and all, if all ya got is a dozen or two, sendem to me(you pay the postage!!) and I'll make "TURBO" flints out of them. If ya take me up on my offer, just tell me what length ya need and I'll do tops, bottoms and rebevel as needed. Just did 800(833 to be exact)of the same size last week for one Guy. :shocked2:
