Anyone have a rifle with the antique style metal finish? Is it just a faded style of color case? What I don't want is a faux finish that makes the rifle look abused or distressed.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Remove a little finish from high spots most handled. Lightly brown those areas and rub back a little.

As you most likely already know case colored areas will silver bright with a lot of use and if not oiled or waxed regularly are very prone to surface rust damage.

If you don’t like that appearance then you might like a French gray.
