I've had a surprisingly good experience with USPS. I bought a gun and it was shipped to me in about 5 days, and the gun was in impeccable condition. I was thoroughly surprised at the speed and quality of their delivery!

You know, I guess it all depends on where you live. The over-populated cities seem to be the worst. Denver, Co. Springs, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Clevelend, Detroit, you get where I'm going. The work ethics of many is non-existent anymore!
In answer to your original question, not much normal anymore.
Most people just want to make a quick buck rather than give quality service these days it seems...
