I haven't sent or received a Muzzleloader in years. Can I still buy a smokepole and have it sent to my house or is that now against the LAW.

Just buy it. If the seller will ship to you, don't worry about it unless you KNOW you are in an area where it's restricted.
Police don't often know. Gun shops? I had a shop owner tell me rifles couldn't be sent through the mail, so they don't always know. And some companies won't sell to all of NY, even if you are not in a part that's restricted.

I have done both and had zero issues. Mostly through usps. It may be different for NYC though, if that is where you’re at.

From NH I would say no clue. Mabey you should pay more attention to what those you elected have done?
Your fine, i have them sent here as well, as long as your not in nyc its 100 percent legal

Good luck trying to figure out NY gun laws! I live in Vermont and if I want to buy ammo in NY they want to do a background check? Does not make any sense, but that’s what happens when Democrats run everything!

muzzleloaders are ok to ship, I have received many. Just not to NYC or its Burroughs. I live upstate.

she [our commie gov.] passed a law requiring all guns require a background check including antiques and m/l [ not airguns]. the state police could not handle the load and the law was cancelled. i was told this by the heads of the two clubs im in that run several shows a year on long island. they say they checked with everyone involved and were given that info. n.y.c. is still its own world.

A GB seller says on his listings that NY now requires an FFL on both ends to ship a BP rifle to NY. I sold a T/C on GB to a NY guy and waiting to hear what he has to say.
Yeah, they now have their own state BG check system in NYS. Not a federal BG, but more like the NYS ammunition BG check. It was only a matter of time...
Do you know if an FFL is needed on both ends or just to receive it?
