Shooting at indoor ranges

I have discussed this with an indoor range near me. They told me that the high powered ventilation system that they have to meet OSHA and other standards have expensive filters that would have to be replaced more often if they allowed muzzleloaders to shoot.
 
Lots of things to consider... unburnt powder residues and spills.. hot ambers, muzzle direction and control, side flashes... ventilation being a very important, but secondary to other less obvious concerns.
