Been meaning to make one of these for years, but never got around to it. When our fearless leader Claude posted a pattern for a shooting pouch, it seemed like a good time to get started.
Naturally, being an inveterate tinkerer and hard-core leather worker, it wasn't possible for me to leave well enough alone. Had to change a few things. I lined the bag with pigskin, added an internal divider and put a pocket on the outside back. Since I use a flask instead of a horn, I made a holder that fits both of my powder flasks and the short starter and laced it onto the shoulder strap. On the whole, I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. Many thanks are due to Claudius.

Beautiful job!

I must mention that the bag pattern was provided by Forum member "Half Moon Ranger". He did an excellent job making the pattern and you took the next step in making a beautiful bag. :applause:

Very nicely done, Charles. The leatherwork looks professionally done. It's really neat to see folks add their own touches to things. I like the Queen Ann Pistol you have there, but that knife there is saaaweeet! :applause:

That turned out really nice. I used Half Moon Ranger's pattern to make my brother-in-law a pouch for Christmas but did not modify it nearly as much as you.

That was a good basic pattern you gave us, HalfMoon. I appreciated your making it available to us. The Queen Anne I built from the Pedersoli kit. Knife I forged out as an adaptation of a Samuel Bell design.
Claude, thanx for moving this to the right area.
