Looking for a Short Land Pattern Brown Bess. Seems to be sold out or long wait-list literally everywhere. Fine with anything Indian-made from the likes of loyalist, veteran, and military heritage. Budget under $1000

Any help would be appreciated thank you :)

I reshaped the brass side plate to look more like a Long Land Pattern type. I thinned and shaped the area around the tang. I reduced the width at the lock, as the lock was set too deep. The swell had been horribly done (I believe this was a kit gun) so I reshaped it.

It's more like something a Colonial gunsmith might have made for militia use just prior to hostilities broke out.
