I have been trying to locate # 5 and #6 shot in bulk bags for my smoothbore. Can anybody lead me to possible vendors? Thanks

Any decent size sporting good store will most likely have shot in bulk in various size. Here in very rural Tioga County Pa we have three places that carry it.

There are not many sporting good stores left near my Armstrong County home. I went to the closet in nearby Butler County and they didn't carry it. I may need to find someone to order some. By the way, I love Tioga County..I envy you! Armstrong is being unbelievably overdeveloped!

Ballistic Products should have it if you want to order it.

I like dealing with these guys:

$8.10 for shipping gets you up to 50 lbs of shot (2 x 25 lb bags). They carry all sizes, plated, not plated, etc. Quick turnaround on orders.

Since I'm using a bare bore .62cal for Turkeys without any sort of shot (cup) protection, I'm thinking of getting a 10lb bag of copper plated shot for next Turkey season.

The copper plating supposedly makes the shot harder / stronger for less pellet deformation and truer flight/tighter patterns...no more than I'd use just to pattern test then turkey hunt, 10lbs would out last me...particulary if my turkey hunts continue like they've been so far: haven't fired a shot yet!!

Just double-checked that and see they have raised shipping charges to $10. Still a good deal.
