Just finished a late 16th/ early 17th century sheath for my newly built knife. The knife is based on a piece ca. 1500-1650 in a private collection. Blade is an old Green River I’ve had sitting around waiting for the right project. Scales are salvaged curly maple treated with aqua fortis, tube rivets are all cut from spent unmentionable cartridges. Sheath is salvaged tulip poplar treated with aqua fortis just for giggles. Poured the pewter mountings based largely on advice I found here on the Forum. Knife and sheath are both finished with walnut oil. Looks nice hanging off my doublet!
