Due to the hole drilled in the adjustable spring loaded ramp and the distance from where it is hinged it can be pushed a tiny bit side to side but seems to have a center it returns to. In any case not an issue for me.

On my T.C. hawken kit rifle I have adjustable sights like the one you show. The screw for the windage adjustment to move the sight right or left moved freely. I found that on the opposite side of the sloted head there was a slot for a small retainer clip missing to hold it in place. Its like a ( c ) clip.

My rifles all have "fixed" rear sights in dovetails cut into the top of the barrel. I've noticed over the years a couple of them developed a slight looseness and move a bit side to side with just finger pressure. In fact I just discovered another loose one a couple of days ago. I've used a small punch to lock them in place as well as using Loctite.
