8 bore is about .835 caliber; a little small for wooly mammoth but about right for giant ground sloths, saber tooths ,dire wolves , etc.

I can't post photos yet, still learning to transfer digital to my laptop and then to Forum. I'll Try to get my daughter to help this evening. It's just a large Siler flintlock with a plum brown finish and one sideplate screw hole in the bolster correctly drilled and tapped. 8 bore, I'm offering to trade the flint lock for a barrel up to that size, I doubt if I'll get any offers over about .58 caliber. The animals mentioned are residual memories from my Cro-Magnon DNA that show up in stunning clarity in my garden after a few beers!
