When I was proof-reading a few issues of Guns of the Old West, I ran across a copy of Doc Holliday's knife, and decided to make one as close to the pattern as I could.

So I bought a close copy of the pattern & some scale blanks

I got going on the scales......

And after applying some elbow grease, ended up with this:

IDK whether to use it as a patch knife, or a boot knife........ whatcha think ?
The actor who played Doc was excellent, I forget his name, but he was Jim Morrison of the Doors in that movie. I draw the line at wearing those T-shirts they sell that say, "I'm Your Huckleberry". No one nowadays knows what the heck it means, and could be taken wrongly unless you're a really manly-man type! These are nice knives, but if your hand is wet, could slip too much downward toward the sharp part. Very nice, though.
