figured there cheap enough is there any bad stories that you guys have about them i was thinkin the late lancaster model ..if u guys have anypics of them i would love to see the quality

I purchased a Jaeger rifle from him 3 years ago, great gun excelllent wood to metal fit, the stock he used was the cm-4 curly maple with a green mountain barrel. I have never had any problem with the gun, it has a Twigg lock and is very fast and smooth. I would not hesitate to buy another gun from Ray.

My experience with Sitting Fox was very good.

I ordered a Jaeger in .62 cal. The barrel came from one source, and the rest came from The Mold & Gun shop.

Apparently parts for SF kits come from different suppliers, depending on the kit. Nothing wrong with that, as long as the quality is there. My parts were made by the Mold & Gun Shop and are also sold by Davis and Track of the Wolf.

If I might suggest. Talk with Ray about which parts actually come in the kit. One or two of his listings have a photo of a prototype that doesn't match the hardware shown in the kit photo 100%. Or maybe his idea of PC doesn't match yours. He's very willing to swap in other parts.

I thought I'd mention Ray (the owner/operator) goes South every year for the season. So there may be a period of time when he is harder to reach while he travels and sets up housekeeping.
I don't know when it happens or for how long.

I will buy from him again.

John

Jaeger62, thanks for the post ... i've been drooling after a 20 guage smoothie (the poorboy) ... good to know he's a good guy.

I have had less than good experience with them. PM me and I'll give you the details.

To get the best bang for your book I suggest Jim Chambers or Tip Curtis. I hear they are good people and easy to talk to.

I sent you a PM as I too was thinking of going to Sitting Fox. Thanks.
