Hi Gents,

There was discussion of slings a while back.

I said I'd be making another one, and that I'd post it.

This one is a half-scale model. It's done using a different method than I've used. It seems to work, though, and I think I may make a full-size model.

I managed a couple 50 yard (max) throws with this one, but was only fairly accurate at less than half that distance. As well, the sling is a perishable skill and I've not used one in years.

There are a couple areas I'd improve upon on the full-sized model, as well: firstly, the ropes should be tapered; secondly, the pocket should be more diamond-shaped.

The full-sized one will be made of canvas, I think, as I cannot afford leather at this point. Any stretchy material will work, though.

Thought ya'll might enjoy.

Josh

P.S. No, I would not hunt with this one at any range. J.S.

Ahh you made a heart....

Just think of all the patches in that thing!

I have drilled thousands upon thousands of patches lately. Not going to run out anytime soon!
