Being a long time wordsmith I often check out these confusing issues. The mold/mould thing is one that aroused my curiosity recently. After checking with several sources (multiple dictionaries, AP stylebook, Chicago stylebook, Strunk and White, retired ninety year old school marm, etc...) the conclusion reached....they are interchangable. Now, that was no fun was it? :v
Now lets go for two part words. e.g. is it muzzleloading or muzzle loading?
