It came over, laid in the grass by us, and I was able to get a couple pictures of it, before it moved on.
A Coopers Hawk nested up across the road this year. I went to see my dad, pick him up to go shooting. The young hatchlings were hanging out in the fence

The apple tree had an over abundance of apples last fall. I took them and piled them into my dad’s garden to compost over the winter.

I had one nesting in my deer blind 2 years ago.In early June, this year, we had a visitor. It hung out in the cottonwood tree in the backyard most of the day.

Later in the day it saw a Garter Snake moving through the grass.

My 4 lb cat immediately went out and tried to pick a fight with it.

The owl is trying to finish his snake, my cat’s trying to get the owl, I’m trying to take a picture & keep the cat from being the 2nd course.

I finally had an idea; lock up the cat in the house, and move the owl off the ground.
