What ever dish soap I find in the kitchen and water as hot as it comes out of the sink. Dry patch the barrel and when dry run a patch with a little Knight oil on it down the bore. Clean the hammer and wipe down all the metal with oil.

What kind of soap do you use to clean black powder with hot water?

Use cool/tepid water and window cleaner with vinegar no more than 1 part cleaner to 2 parts water 3 parts is fine.
Rinse the bore with clear water before drying. All soaps are corrosive.
Hot water causes flash rusting in the bore and for BP is not needed.
In fact plain water will work fine but I use a little wetting agent.

Some replica powders require hot water.
