Rifle is in excellent condition and comes with lee and dixie (brass) minie molds. Had it sold but guy ran short of cash. I don’t want to ship it as it’s too nice to get pummeled in trasit.

Dang guys! He said he doesn't want to ship. Why keep asking? No is no.
my 1928 brno sporting mauser (full stock, butterknife bolt, double set triggers, spectacular wood and engraving .257 roberts) was mailed ups to get the odd 26 lpi checkering recut and hidden glass bedding by a great stockmaker. it returned with the stock crushed, wooden shipping box smashed and the trigger guard bent. Had to sue ups to get it restocked (same guy) and repaired ($2400) and to pay my legal fees ($750) which I won. Not worth shipping if they can’t be trusted to do their jobs well. I’d have much preferred to have kept the original stock although the stockmaker’s work was equally spectacular. Heard enough similar other stories of shipping horror that I want no part of. 20-30 years ago shippers seemed to do better work. I think perhaps that people take less pride in their work (probably because companies treat their workers like crap).

OP - It would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know what the serial number of this rifle is, not for me, but for David Minshall of the UK's MLAGB and P-H archivist. You can tell him by emailing him at Research Press, or telling me by 'conversation' if you are leery of doing so on an open forum.
