hey I got a tradtions croket rifle in .32 it's a great shooter I shoot 2 inch groups at 25 yards on the bench. using triple 7 FFFg powder 15 grns. and a cast .311 ball and a .015 patch lubed with moose milk. any one else have one and hows she shoot? I think I can shoot better with it but I drink to much coffee.

All reports here seem quite positive on the Crocket rifle. It might be time to switch to "Half-caf" to tighten up those groups.

Mine dont like 777 at all. the best groups I got were 3 inches at 25. I switched to real black, and I get sub 1 inch groups at 40 depending on coffee intake :rotf: . My load is 30 grains of Graff and sons with a 310 ball and .10 patch currently lubing with bore butter. I also have a 32cal traditions deer hunter and that gun loves 777.

Those Crocketts are fine little guns. I've had mine about ten years and it's had lots of range and woods time. Goex black works best for me. The best load so far is 30 grains Goex 3f, .311 ball and .015 patch lubed with Hoppes #9 Plus bp lube. I've shot sub inch groups at 35 yards with that combo. I agree, switch to decaf.

At 25 yards your gun should shoot an inch or less. I think you need to make some changes.

I tryed goex and gart and sons both 3Fg didn't seem to matter witch powder all shot the same. good enough to take 3 blue ribbens in squil gun at the roundys! but I wiggle to much. I also tryed goex clean shot. the gun shot all over with it. so I'll "try" to lay of the coffee next time out and see if I can shoot a tighter group. I know the gun is way more acuret then I am. my wife cuts a ragged hole with it. with the same load. 2 day ago.

them Crockett's are real good skewrl guns. Mine shot 1" group at 25 yds all day long. I like a fool traded it off....wish I'd keept it now.
Mebee you should switch to no caffine sody pop whilst your shootin :rotf:

well I didn't drink any coffee and tada!!! one ragged hole at 25 yards. and had some help from a marine snipper friend on controling my breathing. looking good know

Ah yes, breathing, I don't think most people are even taught this anymore. I think most want to just pull that trigger. It's good to have friends to catch/suggest things. Great folks are out there----use them.
