Hello everyone! Names Adam, but i have a nickname that's dewn mou'tain, so i used that as my username.
For me, my interest stems from purchasing my muzzleloader, which happened two weeks ago. Up til then, i had always looked at the the rendezvous as something that looked cool but didnt have the motivation to try it out.
Now, with the purchase of my muzzleloader, i am beginning to feel an itch that is telling me to grow out my beard, get dressed in deer skins, and have some fun. This'll be an interesting site for me to learn about this lifestyle and see where it takes me.

Welcome and enjoy your journey into the world of smoke and fire. Griz

i got a pedersoli kentucky long rifle, .45 caliber.
It looks incredible!
I will post some pics of it once i take some of it tonight.

Welcome, and as a side note, just because you see a lot of gents with beards, (I wear one myself) a large majority of men in the time period, including those who lived in the wilds, were clean shaven so you don't have to grow one if you don't want to.
