Starting load for a 50 cal. Johnathan Browning mountain rifle, shooting .490 patches balls.

I had one hard great luck with a .495 ball and a .015 patch with 70 gains of black powder. I increased it to 90 gains for a 100 yards. I missed that rifle I wish I never sold it. For lube I used 50/50 water and dish’s soap. Never had to run a patch between shots.
