I have an original Springfield model 1842 that has had the stock cut off behind the lower band and the butt stock shortened.
Does anyone make reproduction stocks for these?
Thanks

I would see if you can find someone to copy it from a blank, with extra wood where it’s missing.

Armi Sport does make these stocks, but i doubt it will work on your original.

I appreciate everyone’s responses.
I was familiar with Lodgewood, and had tried there, they don’t have them.
Just checked S&S, they list reproduction stocks, but out of stock. I asked to be notified if they become available.
Did not think of e-bay will check there tonight.
will also check Armi Sport and see if they sell stocks separately.

Dunlap Woodcrafts lists them, good folks.

Thank you, I was not familiar with this company, and they are located less than three hours from me.

If I can source a stock, it looks like Lodgewood and/or S&S can provide all the other bits I would need. Now I just have to do the math and see if the parts total to more than the cost of just buying a complete one…
