Lui, I expect the choke tube lube will work just as good as the stuff I showed you. Nice thing about the permatex is it is high heat resistive (meant for spark plugs, etc.). I use it on breech plugs and powder drums. One day it dawned on me that it would also be good on nipples.

I'm thinking you are heading for some of the same problems with the Uncle's gun. Hope he appreciates you. :thumbsup:

Rag in the bottom of an old Pot to prevent scratching barrel & boil it for about 5 minutes. I don't think it's metal expansion, but dissolving crud that frees it up.
