Thank you Jake. I got one of them out finally. I hope I don’t have to take your advice. 😁. I’m going to try again when I get home. Ran some Kroil inside the chamber earlier. Hope it does the trick. Thx for advice.

Well, how did you do? I'm in the same boat, ruined a nipple wrench and am letting soak. Do they make a tool steel nipple wrench?

Hadn't really had stuck nipple problems for a few years b/c I hadn't a need until this spring. Three assorted nipple wrenches bit the dust - soft steel deformed with only moderate force. All are old enough that I have no memory of their origin. Who makes good quality nipple wrenches these days ?

Dixie Gun Works sells a rachet type nipple wrench, but I think I'm going to try ernbars' Idea and make one.

Sometimes, I've had a good one for revolvers (reduced diameter near the opening), but reach into the same drawer for a musket wrench and come up with a soft, easily bent p.o.s. Old Army takes a special, as do others. The company that sells good ones for various sizes will get my money. Gr.r.r.

I've soaked it in acetone and ATF for days and tried 3 times to make a wrench out of a socket like ernbar and they slip off. I think the corners of the nipple where the wrench puts the most force are rounded that's why all the trouble. This is a brand new gun with24 shots though it before cleaning and attempted removal, I'm looking at a drill and an easy out to get this done. I will send what's left of the nipple to Uberti and tell them to shove it up the backside of whoever tightens their nipples.

dude, get some Kroil and soak the nipples generously. Also, These two wrenches got me out of your dilemma. good luck.

You may want to consider getting a set of left hand drill bits. Sometimes they will do the deed while drilling the pilot hole for the easy out.
Left handed drill bits, never seen them, sounds like a good idea I will look for some tomorrow. Thanks
