"...All T shirt cleaning patches have been cut in half...."

Deaconjo: You aren't the first, and you won't be the last to use cleaning patches that are too large for the job.

Glad everything worked out for you. Now, about that big bump on the back of your head....

zonie :)

I have never liked T-shirt cleaning patches. I have had them bind up in a couple of rifles.

I have had T shirts bind up as well. Don't use them any more. I cut up my old flannel shirts and use them.

If you want to get a jag stuck in a bore , use a tee shirt patch , they never fail . IMHO , tee shirt patches just plain suck . I use Klean Bore 100% cotton patches in the .28-.35 cal. size . They work for every gun I own , from my .54 to my .22  . For .38 cal. on up , I use them full size . For my .22 and .32 , I quarter a stack of them with my leather shears . I buy the big bulk pack for about $9.00 . I would use old flannel shirts except for two reasons , (#1) I don't have enough old flannel shirts to fill my cleaning patch needs , and (#2) I wear these old shirts at work , when they get to the piont of being unusable they are impregnated with more concrete and dirt grit , that all the washing in the world ain't gonna get out , than I care to be running down the bore of any of my guns :haha: . However , my old overalls make some dandy char cloth  .
