Firstly, just to introduce myself, I'm in the UK. I've been shooting muzzleloading pistols and rifles – all reproductions – for ten years or so, revolvers a little longer.
I've been haunting this forum for a while, so I thought I'd join properly.
As soon as this Covid thing is over, I'm planning to get an Artax Studemeier .54 target rifle. I'd love to hear from anyone who owns or shoots one, – or has done – just to get your experiences with suggested loads or anything else.
As it happens I can choose between a brand new one and a secondhand one. There are pros and cons to both I guess. Any comments? Anything i should look out for on the secondhand, beyond the obvious?
