my .36 also takes the .380 roundball
The .375 won't shave lead and are loose.

Yep, we got do what we got do.

I have two .36 rifles right now (my favorite caliber) one takes a .343 and the other takes a .33 caliber round ball. I also shoot patched .32 caliber lead pistol bullets for more thump.

I wasn't so much complaining as simply kinda warning others that if optimum accuracy is desired, and according to many, consistency is an essential factors in accuracy, that we should be aware that there may be some inconsistency from box to box.

My "offs" will be put in a container to be fired by my grandchildren whose relative accuracy will be hardly affected by 2 or 3 grains ... (the one really off roundball has already been used on a squirrel raiding my wife's bird feeder. Only missed him by a foot but I'm not as good as I used to be with a slingshot ...)

I am certainly not anti-hornady ... their Whitetail .308 shoots sub minute in my Tikka .308 and while I may try Speer next time, I will not be surprised to find similar issues.

Meh, I do weigh balls, only the ones for 100 yds or more. I have shot many 25 yd targets and it made no difference whether I was using weighed balls or random ones from the bag. You guys may see a difference in accuracy, but I did not. :shocked2:
