Swamprat was mean enough to send me some .595 rd balls to try out in my .62 Jackie Brown. I took them out today to try them out. Ruined my whole day. Thanks a a lot Friend, now i have to buy that new .595 rd ball mould for sure. Here is a pic of the target. I used 80 grs of Goex 3f, and a #40 drill cloth patched .595 ball lubed with some of that Slick lube he makes that he sent me with the balls. No wads this time. I tried with the wads first and the group wasn't acceptable. This one was not bad at all. 3 shot group at 25 yds off a folding table bench. And i now have 115 shots on this flint and it is still in real good shape. Love this Large Siler lock.

Great pic of the target. :applause: Good shooting too. Do you have a pic of the Iron that did this?

It is my Jackie Brown Carolina smoothbore. Here is a link to a pic of it. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Rebel-1/IM000664.jpg

My TVM fowler loves .595's with a .020 patch lubed with liquid wonder by Traditions.I buy mine from Track because of the price for 50 compared to 25 of the .600's.I load 70grs of 2f for 25yd work and my holes also touch from a rest.

Mighty fine shootin' Rebel. Now there's a smokepole that'll put venison on the table!

Well, at least at 25 yds it will. I still want to get out somewhere where i can try it at 50 and 75 yds. Course, most of the shots around here would be under 50 yds anyway. Kinda thick here abouts.

i think the cat in the picture shot the group and reb is just takeing credit. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Hey, I saw a cat too. It was a pretty white cat looking out the window and wondering when it could take that gun back outside for some more target practice. My cat is too lazy to do stuff like that. And his paws are too short. Nice photo. :hatsoff:

What cat? Ain't no cat in that picture. A garbage can, a chair and a yellow plastic bag, but no cat.

Nice try! But we all see it. :blah: Now there are wittnesses.

The cat's out of the bag now, eh Rebel?

Nice shooting you had going on there...

Rebel,

I want you to do me a favor if you will, please.

Go down to Wall-Mart or an office supply store and buy a pack of BLACK CONSTRUCTION PAPER. You'll find it in the school supply section in all different colors, but you want BLACK.It's 8 1/2"x 11". Lay a sheet out on a surface that you can cut on without worrying about damage...in other words, not the dining room table :winking:. Take an Exacto knife and a straight edge and cut the paper from the upper left corner to the lower right corner, then cut from the upper right corner to the lower left corner, and BINGO!!! Look at what you have two of :rotf:.
