Hi,
No real story , my grandfather bought it from an estate sale a few years ago.I think its a boarding gun/canon from a Dutch ship but i have emailed a lot of people with very little info coming back.As to the other info, bore etc im not sure i will have to check when i see him next.
Thanks

Shaun

Any markings? I'm not the expert on these, but those who are will wanna know...

Possibly a ship's signal cannon, due to the fairly small size. Definitely intended for swivel mounting. As I said in the other thread, though, no idea whatsoever as to age, origin, etc. Super sweet gun, though. :hatsoff:

More info would be helpful.....

Bore size?

length?

dia. at breech?

any markings?

the photo's are small it's hard to make out details..... does this look like it had any provisions for a lock?

I would say this is a swivelgun just not what one expects to see... it seems to be a cross between a swivelgun and a wallgun - a large blunderbus mounted along the rail of a ship with a bore over one inch.......
