I have the light but the batteries are gone. Anyone know what size and how many it takes? It's the little brass light that they don't make anymore. Thanks, James

I have found hat the inspection light sold by O'riely's auto parts srores is cheaper than the special batteries for the T.C. light,

I have a brass bore light by CVA. It has a knurled knob on one end you twist to turn on the light. It takes two LR41 batteries I got them off ebay. But it is to large to fit down my 45 caliber rifles so I use the Thill night bobber lights that are a combination battery and light. I buy them at Walmart but Amazon sells them also. They are about the size of a pencil lead. The battery part is silver with the light on top. They come in red or green. I prefer the green but I had to buy a red one last time. They last many hours of continuous use. But I like ohio ramrods choice and am going to check it out. Good luck

I use small round mirrors purchased at the hobby store, that i glue to the end of a small piece of doweling. Slide it down the bore, then shine a light down to see the inside of the bore. The mirrors come in various sizes, and i have found some that will go down a .32 caliber bore.

I found small lights that take 1 AAA battery and the light head is the same diameter as the body (ie Straight with no bulge). They fit easily down my .50 T/C so I just drop it down and I can see the bore extremely well. I wish I could remember where I got them but I found them by just checking the flashlight section of ant store that carries them. Not exactly an answer to your Q but hope it helps others. Although you might try it. Very inexpensive.

Might do a search for a place called "Batteries Plus" to see if there is one near you,

I bought a pack of four keychain lights with batteries at Lowes for 10 bucks and they slide right on in a 50cal barrel.

I use a Teslong bore camera. This was a .45cal. rifle I bought from Rock Island Auctions. It had been in a closet for some time and had some surface rust that came right out. The camera pics are so clear that what you would call a clean barrel still shows fouling in the corners.
