I have found some one with two t/c patriots for sale, one .45 cal and the other is a .36 cal that has not been fired. He is asking $375 for the .36 or $600 for the both of them. I would be using the .36 for shooting at our local match shoots. Would this be a good buy and would the .36 patriot be a good choice for targets? thanks JSAMS

I just saw a .45 Patriot in the display case for around $475 I think. So get both and sell the .45 if you don't want it.

I don't have enough experience with .36 cal hand guns to be considered an expert. I like BIG holes that I can see from 25 yards away, so I stick to .44 Cap & Ball revolvers. Friends of mine collect and shoot the Patriots, and 2 for only $600.00 means that the seller is either motivated or a friend!

The TC Patriot in 45 is wonderful. Anyway mine is. They are target guns not hunting guns.

I think you will be pleased with the TC Patriot. Make sure you take a good look at them before you lay your money down just to make sure they are in good shape and not abused. Pay particular attention to the lock bolt side of the stock. If the stock is cracked, that is where it will be more than likely. That can be repaired.
I have two of them and am very pleased with both. Remember, TC does not produce the Patriot anymore. Parts are still available and TC has a good warranty on their products.
If you can get both pistols for a slightly lower price, you'll be ahead of the game.

Just as a side note, the set triggers on the Patriot are backwards from the set triggers found on rifles.

The front "trigger" is the cocking trigger and the rear trigger is the actual trigger to fire the gun.

I mention this because one familiar with the set triggers on most rifles might get the idea that the Patriot's triggers aren't working when in fact they are working just like they are supposed to.

Thanks for the info, I looked at one in friendship last year and I did not buy it because I thought the triggers did not work and I bet that was the problem. If the seller wont come down on the price will $600 be a good buy if both look like new? thanks j sams

Six-hundred would be a good price for the two pistols in my opinion, but maybe you can bargain with the seller to reduce the price a bit more. That said, I've seen well-used Patriots go for $400 and up as recently as 2 years ago, and near-new ones (from an estate) sell for $250. Value depends on a number of factors.

I understand that .36-caliber Patriots are not that common, so that in itself is a consideration in determining value.

Hope you get them and are happy with them. They are a pleasure to shoot. :)
