I did get a chance to get in some range time with the t/c 31" barrel 1 in 66 twist flinter.
I was surprise at the the 50 yard mark the hornady 230 grain balll over .017 blue/white patch material shot one groups about 1 " over center.
I did 3 shot wiped after each shot followed by a dry patch would say clover leaf group
I next went out to the 100 yd target withthe same rear sight set up aimed dead center and the R/B hit dead center of the target.I did use a 8x8 orange square target. The charge under the patched R/B 100 grains of goex 3F another excellent group 3 shots maybe a 3" spread dead center
Wow the custom barrel shoots excellent no complaint here I wonder how the deer is going to take this winter hunting season? :idunno:
I find the extra weight of the 31" barrel does tame recoil using the steel butt plate.I think it will be in the saddle bag on the Quad this winter a lot better then carry it threw the woods have to say maybe 9 lbs total weight

My T/C .54cal x 1:66: barrel was the same, essentially a tack driver..took a few deer with it...excellent barrels

My Renegade with the T/C 1:66" twist barrel remains one of my favorite rifles. I put a fixed site on mine, but only because I wanted to - the site that came on it was fine.

Good reliable hunting rifle, and very accurate. Enjoy it.

I have to go along with everyone on this.I'm real pleased with mine.Wish I could find one for my Renegade flinter.90 grains of Swiss 2-f and a swaged .530 it's as accurate as I can shoot.

Got one of these from a forum member here a few weeks back and it's a GREAT gun...Haven't gotten a chance to shoot long range yet but it was doing great at 25yards
