Yeah. Renegades were made with one inch across the flats barrels. Their Hawken was slightly thinner as I recall. Makes for a darn strong barrel. The only downside is with replacement barrels of small caliber. I got a Green Mountain drop-in barrel for my Renegade in 32 caliber. It's 32 inches long and with all that metal weighs a lot. Accurate as all get out but I only use it from a rest. If I want a light 32 caliber to carry I use a T/C Cherokee.

If I get a Renegade and put a Green Mountain 28” barrel in .50 cal is the balance going to be way off? My T/C .50 Hawken is perfect

Not too bad for most folks.
A .40 caliber Renegade with 28" barrel (can reach out and touch one right now) isn't bad at all.

It will feel like any other Renegade and you won’t even notice the bit of extra weight from thee additional 2 inches of barrel.

Compared to your Hawken it should feel about the same except a bit heavier and with a slightly shorter but probably more comfortable trigger pull.

I had a Renegade with a 36cal Green Mountain barrel. It felt like handlin’ a fence-tampin’ bar strapped to a 2 by 4.

Hawken 15/16,s

I just bought a 15/16" .54 GM percussion drop in for a TC Hawken from The Gun Works. It was expensive but..... I wanted one, end of story. With that .54 hole the 32" barrel isn't all that heavy.

This is the only place I have seen that still has them in stock.
