Hi, I built a few years ago a T/C Hawken from their specialty shop. I really like the rifle but I believe it is not as authentic as an original Hawken as I thought it was when I bought the kit. I was thinking of buying a kit from the Hawken Shop or Track of the Wolf but I have no tools but elbow grease, sandpaper, a file or two and time -- besides I'm not that handy with tools although I can patiently fit metal to wood and finish the wood and hand rub and oil stock for days on end. Anyway, is their a retrofit kit that would make my T/C more accurate or a complete rifle kit that wouldn't break the bank. I really am pleased with how my T/C turned out but I would like to improve the "look"
Thanks from a newbie.

I know you can get replacement stocks, both full and half, from Track of the Wolf. I think Pecatonica River has them too. Bob1961 re-stocked his T/C with a gorgeous curly maple stock... if you search the forum you should find the thread with the pics. There are other threads too where folks have cast their own forend caps and such... so yeah, I think you could definitely make it more PC, but I'm unaware of any "retrofit kit" to do so... you'll just need to get the parts and come up with your own "kit" so to speak. With your patience, and using only sanding/filing tools you should have no problem gettin' 'er done! :redthumb:
