how do you apply it and how much do you use? im using precut patches and rubbing both sides across the lube then rubbing it in good between my fingers.. is there an easier/ faster way??? thanks. mike
wonderlube patches?? thanks. mikeShoots the same as my pre-lubed patches of the same thickness.
Never thought of that. Good thinking.Swab a bunch on one side, stackem up and throw them in microwave for 15 sec at a time to melt/spread the oil. Caution hot oil will burn your fingers.
This is what I do and it works great. I let them cool until they are not too hot to touch and press down hard on them with my palm, makes the lube absorb into any parches that are a little light on lube.Swab a bunch on one side, stackem up and throw them in microwave for 15 sec at a time to melt/spread the oil. Yeswonderlube patches?? thanks. mike
I have used it during the heat and really liked it. I didn’t have any issues with it melting. It may have gotten softer, but mostly I thought it to be pretty consistent. Way better than other lives I’ve tried. I won’t even waste my time with bore butter anymore. That stuff is like water in the heat, and too stiff to squeeze out of the tube in the cold. Real cruddy product in my opinion.I like it but I have only been using it for a couple of months. It is slick as eel s**t. It worked real well the other day in some 33 degree weather. Haven't tried it out in the heat yet. I just drag my patch across it making sure its enough pressure to pickup some of the lube without completely coating your patch. I was having some problems with loading my rifle after 4-5 shots without swabbing. The mink oil fixed that.
