Just that there's an old "E" scratched into the stock, and a rune of some sort; maybe from many years ago. I have an Rem. Rolling Block 7mm that has couple initials scratched into the stock, it would be cool to know who/why/when someone did that.
Ah, you have a better eye than I do!

I think the fire hole had a foil seal? I have to look, I have one of these ctgs. but am not up on them; have to read up!

The flash holes in both my brass and my nylon cartridge cases are small enough that they don't leak using 2F Goex. I have a Smith Carbine with nylon cases and those flash holes are large enough that I have to place a piece of tissue paper over the hole to prevent leaks when I load the powder. I can't speak to originals for either firearm.

As someone above mentioned, a Sharp's spring does work. I had to repair the stock around the top of the lock and you can kind of see in my first post where it was busted out. I patched in a piece of walnut and fit it perfectly. Still have to finish to match. Also was able to make a few cartridges thanks to the donation of a generous member.

How I wish! I use the library computer, but would need a class for seniors as to using a digital camera and posting; I don't have even an I-phone, just a 'flipper' phone. The ctg. was one in a small box of older ctgs. I got at a swap meet. (Including a cylinder's worth of old .45 Colt!) I remember an old timer back in the 1970's that had a fantastic collection of ctgs. in old type cases; he's long gone, and the ctgs. are, too! 🙁
