Tc firestorm

New to the page and new to flintlocks. I got a TC firestorm 50 cal.

Welcome to the forum! T/C Firestorm is a good shooter as that was my first flintlock. A couple tips for the Firestorm… shoot real black powder not the pellets, get real english/french flints as they are easy to knap to keep sharpe. The cut agate ones well they don’t last long and can’t be knapped. As far as breech plug i changed out the coned one for none coned one if you can find them. I also had the trigger lightened as it was a hard pull(if needed). Also make sure you use anit-seize on the threads of breechplug and touchhole or they will be PITA to remove. I would also get a RMC OX-YOKE Lyman replacement frizzen that is converted to fit T/C’s that way you have an extra and they also have spare parts. And a note of CAUTION…unless you have the proper tool to remove the mainspring leave it alone…ask me how i know… I don’t have it and well i removed it alright, it shot out like a missle hitting the block wall and bent.

Wood stock?

Looks like the factory poly-stock has been painted-coated to appear wood like.

Had one for 10 or so years.
In the stainless.
As mentioned good shooter. No pellets I only shot RB outta mine.
The stainless tang can be bent very easily,so be careful when removing your barrel. Not sure how strong the steel tang is.
But the stainless is super soft.

They are all soft at the tang and your cantilevereging on that point I always remove the whole assembly way easier

That's what I resorted to.was always wondering how many more remove and replace cycles that plastic stock would handle.
But never had an issue
