tc maxiball and REAL for deer?

I tried a few REAL’s but did not like the fit in the bore and they did not shoot accurately enough to hunt with. I have shot a few deer with the maxi-ball and saw very little terminal expansion and more penetration than was needed. I have since moved to other projectiles but I have a theory that over penetration is a function of how fast we try to send these toward the target. Less powder=less terminal energy=less penetration through deer. Begs for some in the field testing”¦

Well I'm going to test .45 Maxi-ball this season. I'm also going to test a .61 RB. Just to be safe I'll probably put the maxi-ball on the shoulder.
