Does anyone know where I could buy a replacement barrel for a TC Renegade flintlock? Green mountain makes them but only in a 50cal and only in a 1/70 twist. Is there anyone else out there? I would like one in at least a 1/48 twist. I tried contacting TC through email with no reply and called them yesterday waiting for a half hour on hold before I hung up. Any help would be great.

Rob...

I couldn't get TC to answer me either,I wonder whats the deal with them? I thought I saw an ad for some TC barrels on this forum. To the right of the page. I can't remember the name of the place. Keep looking and it wil probably turn up.

Got hold of them today. Don't have any Renegade barrels. There custom shop is closed for who knows how long because they are closing there NH shop and moving the the Smith and Wesson plant. Might have to look else where for a gun. Starting to think about the Lyman.

I recently e-mailed Green Mt. regarding a specific barrel and they gave me several references (web sites) like Cain's Outdoor, Muzzleloader Builder's Supp., Pecatonica River, Dixie Gun Works, The Gun Works Emporium, Track of Wolf, Cox's Gun Shop (formerly RMC), October Country, and a few others I can't recall... Sorry, I wish I hadn't deleted their reply... I've encountered what you want frequently on-line... In fact, I often find the entire gun in shops during my travels for about the same price as a new barrel... You shouldn't have much trouble... Good luck...

I figure they will keep the contender at least in name , maybe a few of the new fangled end stuffers at least for a while but I'm thinking we are seeing the end of T/C as we know it.

maybe I missed it but i didn't see a barrel on hackets link that any of us could use

I hope they reopen. They had some really nice stuff. I wanted to have a Renegade flintlock made from them but I waited too long so now I'm out.

I see quite a few used TC's at gun shows and they are usually pretty reasonable. But I don't think Iv'e seen one in flint. I myself have an old renagade stock that I am looking for a TC flint lock to put in it. If TC quits making them they will get hard to find.

I don't know where your from but cooperstown trading post in pa could probably build you one.Barrels aren't on his website but I believe he makes them he builds flintlocks. You can get his phone # off the web site cooperstowntradingpost.com just a thought maybe ask him or steer you in right direction.

I bought a per-suction drop in renegade barrel from Track and a TC flint breech plug from them then paid them to mate the Flint plug. Cost a little more but got what I wanted.

Cost of the barrel + cost of the breech plug + $25 labor IIRC. Delivery was a week or 10 days.

And they sent me the per-suction breech plug!
