13 months since I placed my order for a TVM Tn. Can't wait to get it. Any thoughts on them?
Lots of opinions about TVM here. Regardless of the experiences of others, the single TVM that I have owned was absolutely fantastic. It lives with a friend now but it was extremely well built, entirely reliable, and had gorgeous wood that was far beyond what I was expecting.

I own five TVMs, from a .36 late Lancaster to a .62 rifled fowler to a .54 Southern Mountain Rifle, and three .50s in between. I have been more than happy with each of them. All good shooters, and the plan/build process with Matt and company a real pleasure. I shot one of my .50s, an Early Virginia lefty flint in a match today, and won three of six matches with it, from 20 yards to 100 yards. The only issues I ever had were resolved quickly and without question. I cannot recommend them enough. I don't have the space, tools, knowledge, or skill to make my own. TVM is my "go-to" source.

There was a thread on a FB group recently where a buyer's experience did not go well. Judging by the pictures of the gun, the complaints were justified. Things like a front sight so poorly fit it fell out and was lost in the woods, stock cracking behind tang...

this i one i bought off the ALF, it is 54 SMR and shoots great! this 3 shot group is offhand at 50yds, that is the good, the bad is about 3 years ago i bought a TVM kit, an early Virgina in 45, i gave it to a friend to shape the wood for me. after he started, he noticed the ramrod entry hole was way off center. by then we were into it and i never contacted them so i just lived with it, but the gun is a tack driver! in the accuracy department they seem to be fine, but i would tell them to make sure the entry hole is straight! or to keep it till it is! LOL,,,,,,,,,,,

I go to a big get together at David Crocket Park every year, they have a big crowd of people camping period correct, I see more TVM rifles than anything else, that should tell you something. I just walk around visiting and showing off my latest build, I don't participate. I do get a lot of people wanting to buy my guns but they aren't for sale.

That is a great post. I have no experience with TVM, but I have looked at them for future purchases. Your experience goes a long way with me. I am a novice builder wanting kits that build skills and nice guns.

I've never dealt with them, but have read comments both pro and con. I'm sure they read, too, and wonder why there's such difference in experiences with them.
