13 months since I placed my order for a TVM Tn. Can't wait to get it. Any thoughts on them?
Lots of opinions about TVM here. Regardless of the experiences of others, the single TVM that I have owned was absolutely fantastic. It lives with a friend now but it was extremely well built, entirely reliable, and had gorgeous wood that was far beyond what I was expecting.13 months since I placed my order for a TVM Tn. You got that right. You could build one yourself in less time than that. No way I'd wait that long for anything
Yep. Kinda obvious. They may be behind because they are so popular. Try ordering from a well known custom builder, the wait could be years.I'm thinking a phone call to them is in order.
That is a great post. I have no experience with TVM, but I have looked at them for future purchases. Your experience goes a long way with me. I am a novice builder wanting kits that build skills and nice guns.I own five TVMs, from a .36 late Lancaster to a .62 rifled fowler to a .54 Southern Mountain Rifle, and three .50s in between. I have been more than happy with each of them. All good shooters, and the plan/build process with Matt and company a real pleasure. I shot one of my .50s, an Early Virginia lefty flint in a match today, and won three of six matches with it, from 20 yards to 100 yards. The only issues I ever had were resolved quickly and without question. I cannot recommend them enough. I don't have the space, tools, knowledge, or skill to make my own. TVM is my "go-to" source.
