Thanks for all of the kind comments, gentlemen.
Feral hogs have become a huge problem here in Texas. This was the fourth one shot in as many weeks on the place I hunt.

Anyhow, as I was cutting up the shoulder that the ball exited, I realized the lower part of the shoulder blade had been broke completely in half horizontally. I'm assuming that is what dropped her in her tracks.

I hunt wild pigs every year, near Mason, tx. It's enjoyable and challenging. The meat is great eating also.

The ranch I hunt on is bow hunting only, but wild pigs are perfect game for muzzleloaders.

You can say that again. When I first went hog hunting we had to drive way out to east Texas or far south around Karnes City. Now they are regularly seen within NB city limits. Many peanut farmers have gone broke due to hogs destroying entire crops. It's good to see that you put all that meat in the freezer this year.

And is that PC, you just did?

PC? No, but expeditious? You bet your booties, Bucko. When it comes to feral hogs, they can.....uh.....reproduce faster than you can shoot.

"Bucko?" and how many acres do you own that are infected with hogs and you have to remove them?

We work all year removing them, it cost's $265/acre to repair the damage they do.

Great job!!! i just ordered a Lyman in .54 glad to see they did well with patched round balls. hill country definately has alot of deer and hogs. some great pictures of a great hunt
