The Dance Brothers, mentioned above started revolver production in Cedar Brake, now West Columbia, Texas. In 1863 a rumor circulated thet the yankees were going to send gunboats up the Brazos River to shell the factory and it was moved to Grimes County, about 3 miles north of Anderson. No additional revolver was undertaken before war's end. Hope this helps. :grey:
