My wife and I watched it on the History Channel last night...her first time, don't know how many times I watched it since i was a kid. Love it!

Always one of my favorites. The History channel did good last night. "Tombstone" and "The Outlaw Josie Wales" in a double bill.

Gentlemen,
There were a LOT of historical mistakes, but at least Missouri was shown as a Southern State, and the Kansans (of that day) were shown for what they were. Great movie all in all, and Eastwood's best.
(Ride with the Devil is better though)
It was on the set of that movie that he and Sandra Locke began a 12 year relationship that ended with her bring suit against him and the movie company. It appears from the case that Clint was a bit mean to her (blackballed her career).
Still, great film-- so was Pale rider.
Respectfully UNreconstructed,
David

As far as I'm concerned, her lack of acting skills is what ended her career. She was bloody awful in all of his movies that she was in, especially Every Which Way But Loose. :barf: What he saw in her to break up his marriage is beyond my comprehension.

Agreed, I would rank her right up with Nicole Kidman for lack of acting skills.

..."oh I just love you, Bronco Billy"

ya, she was a fine actress.

No argument at all here. Her participation was counter balanced by Dan George and the rest of the cast. Chief Dan George has managed to steal all of the movies I have seen him in.

How many have tried this, the famous pistol flips? (with empty guns I hope)

Sorry, I couldn't edit out the rest of the clip...

I tried it a few times with my .36 navy colt it worked now and then, the "then" part scuffed the gun up a bit so I quit playing "clint"

They've got it for $7.50 at most walmarts. As far a Locke it makes me cringe when I hear her sing.

I've tried it with my walker in my right hand and my 1860 army in the left. Only did it once

It's easier to do with second generation Colts. They have a different grip than the imported ones and roll into the hand smoother.

Play the movie real slow during the scene where the Comancheros have her on the ground and you'll see what he saw in her :shocked2:

My favorite line in the flick is: "Dyin' ain't much of a livin' boy", as the bounty hunter thinks twice and then comes back into the bar to die.

4 revolvers worth of shootin' and not a single cap falls off a nipple :surrender: . But hey, it's the movies! Never see him clean or reload any of them either--that would have added at least another 30 minutes to the film :haha:

Loved the movie though! Had my son buy it for me for Christmas
