Thread sizes?

Trying to figure out the thread size of my 32 cal. rifle cleaning jag/ram rod as jag thread is same size as my 45 cal Rifle, have a 45 cal jag but not a 32 cal. I have one (32)but tread size is too small for ram rod, and need to order larger size thread. Do any of you know is it 8/32 or 10/32 which is larger?
