Is that knife what you cut your hand with ? While I really like your work, after working many prison stickin's, a working or weapon knife with a smooth handle gets slick when the blood gets to gushin'. A slick handle shank can get you hurt. But it is sure pretty.

No, this one has not bit me! Many do at some point in the process. Lost knuckle skin on a brick wall at work.
I don’t do a lot of guards on knives for most of the ones I make are hunting/skinning knives. Yet they are a important part of knife handles. Especially if it’s s fighting style.

I have found antler and bone to be oddly "grippy" when wet, even with blood. But, only when left natural. When waxes and finishes are applied over the antler/bone, or they are overly polished, that traction seems to go away.
